The Friends host a twice weekly book sale, every
Wednesday and Saturday from 10AM to 2PM at 5120 St. Charles Ave in the carriage house behind Latter library. We are the oldest book seller on St. Charles Ave situated in one of the city’s architectural and historical gems.
There are over 10,000 books available at each sale with new ones continually stocked. We offer fiction, non-fiction, local and rare books, cd’s, dvd’s, videos, records, books on tape and cd and a large selection of children’s books. Book prices generally start at .25 and go up for rare and unique items.
Book Donations
The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library accepts books, LP’s, CD’s, DVD’s, VHS and cassettes. The best time to donate your items is Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10AM until 2PM, during our regular book sale at 5120 St. Charles Ave, Latter Library. Items may be donated during regular library hours as well. (Latter Library is closed on Fridays and Sundays.)
Please donate your books to the Friends so that we may all continue to support New Orleans’ Public Libraries.
