The benefits of giving to the Friends are immediately discernable as we fund projects and programs throughout the year. Your donation will help the library continue some of its most important and best attended programming. Funds also help continue scholarships for librarians. Your donation makes possible vital literacy and tutoring programs. The Friends also assist the library in its massive rebuilding program that is planned to span the next 20 years. Not only do the Friends keep the library’s programs functioning, but we also work to achieve the city’s long-term rebuilding efforts.

Book Donations
The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library accepts books, LP’s, CD’s, DVD’s, VHS and cassettes. The best time to donate your items is Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10AM until 2PM, during our regular book sale at 5120 St. Charles Ave, Latter Library. Items may be donated during regular library hours as well. (Latter Library is closed on Fridays and Sundays.)
